The aim of the project was to form a new identity for the Filmhaus Köln. The Filmhaus is a place where filmmaking and education is closely linked. In a first step we analysed the structure and the intern an extern communication to filter the important factors we want to focus in our corporate identity. As a result we decided that the focus on film and film education should be empathized more. Also the corporate appearance should be more integrative.
Our concept was built on the idea that film is a moving picture and therefore we want to show this movement in our design. We used big pictures as an eye catcher for the different media. The size and position is variable. The movement of the pictures is generated by the rotation of the design elements in the horizontal. The divided logo supports this movement. Red is the corporate colour of the Filmhaus and connects all different elements on the first view.
